Preamble:
16 PAX took the daily red pill and became stronger today. 8 Alpha PAX along with a downranger, 7 NLB PAX including a FNG got after it. YHC did a quick disclaimer and preceded to tell the PAX that despite the fun and games that he brought last time he Q’d here 6 weeks ago, today would be a good ole suckfest from start to finish. With lots of burpees. Into the gloom we went….
Warm-O-Rama:
Warmup in neighboring parking lot by doing karoake, high knees and the like. Circle up for 21’s where the PAX would have to count in cadence in silence after 5, all the way up to 21. Burpee penalties for indiscretions. This happened twice. A few other warmup exercises were called, then off we went for the Thang.
The Thang:
Head across the street to a quieter parking lot…. First up were parking lot BLIMPS with an escalator clause. 5 burpees, then run across the parking lot for 5 burpees and 10 lunges. Then back to the other side. 5, 10, 15, etc.
Now that the PAX were covered in sweat, back to the original parking lot for a good ole Circle Burp.
Head back to campus for one last suckfest routine. Dora BOMBS. Partner A would stay and do Burpees AMRAP style while partner B went Bernie Sanders up the hill and back. Each partner would get a shot at all the letters. Time running out we wrapped up our squats and did 3 minutes of Mary with the NLB guys getting some cadence practice.
COT:
Great things are happening at the Bound. The NLB guys are bought in, the Alpha PAX are showing up in big numbers to support the cause. We had an FNG from NLB join us. He is a big Braves fan so somehow we named him Phanatic, which is the Phillies mascot. The Braves also happened to be hosting the Phillies later that day.
YHC closed us out reminding the group that we are all human and that we all have flaws. We all struggle with things and by opening up like we do in COT, it helps overcome our internal demons.
Cofeeteria inside their dining hall followed. Great conversations were had.
