My favorite toys

Preamble:

With no Q signed up, YHC grabbed the Q and bypassed the committee requirement and the triple ban that was imposed after a deconstructed beatdown. Came a few minutes early to set up some toys and a board of pain.

Warm-O-Rama:

A good disclaimer was given due to new faces (new for me, at least). Mosey in the parking lot with some ass kickers, side shuffles and bernie. Circle up for Weed Pickers, Toy Soldiers and SSH. The last done in increasing tempo till 44, to celebrate YHC’s birthday yesterday.

Unfortunately Millie hurt his back and left us. Feel well brother!!

The Thang:

Board of pain set up with list of exercises. 5 coupons were set near the board – 20lb plate, 30lb paincake, ruck sack with 30lb plate, 40lb sandbag and a cinder block.

Each round do 20 reps and either run a lap or grab a coupon and go back and forth (slightly less distance). Started a bit differently but audibled to this.

Exercise were:

• 30 Plank Jacks
• 40 Burpees
• 40 Bonnie Blairs (single)
• 40 Freddie Mercury (alpha)
• 60 Merkins
• 60 LBCs
• 60 Squats
• … there was more but we didn’t get to them

So round 1 was 20 plank jacks. round 2 10 plank jacks and 10 burpees. then 20 burpees. then 10 burpees and 10 bonnie blairs. etc.

We stopped at about 6:10 for a game of ‘Pass the dutchie on the left hand side’. Circle up with and without the coupons. YHC calls cadence. Air press if you don’t have a coupon, shoulder press if you do. After each cadence (4 count) pass the coupon to the left. Would have worked better if we used 4 out of the 5 coupons and spaced evenly. But we didn’t so it didn’t work well and by the time we figured out what we should have done YHC had to call stop and mosey back to the flag. Diamond merkins for the 6 and we’re done.
