When LEGENDS are made

Preamble:

Lightning is a real threat – but was mitigated this AM with intel from lightningmaps.org that showed that the strikes had already passed through the Jailbreak AO.

The larger threat that loomed was the sounds of pelting rain, dropping temps, and the warm embrace of the FS.  Today another callous was going to be added.

Warm-O-Rama:

La-Z-boy, Inseam, and YHC pushed through and showed up from the Pre at 0500

Mosey through the Cumming Fairgrounds.  Almost figured out how to start up the rides and funnel cake machines but time ran out.  YHC did come away with a gold fish tho.

The Thang:

Olaf arrived amidst the slack chatter of calling off the run.  No lightning in sight or sound in our skies.  Only rain and cold.  Onward.

Scarcely do we remember the miles posted in the fair weather gloom, but I can definitely remember each of the miles in suck conditions.

I have no scientific data on this but I wonder if there’s a specific marking hashed into my brain each time it’s pushed beyond comfort. Let’s call them stretch marks.

YHC does not seek after stretch marks on his dashing bikini-ready bod (you can confirm this from the copious visit logs at my plastic surgeon’s office).  Stretch Marks on the mind are a different matter.  When the inner voices start looking for ways to halt, that just might be the call to push forward.  Let’s accelerate on!
