Running Down Dreams at Windjammer

Preamble:

It was a balmy February morning and a Pax of Windjammers gathered to get the day started right with a great sweat. Tom Petty was one of my first concerts and first CDs. So let’s pay tribute to this late great singer/songwriter. “After all it is a great big world, with lots of places to run to.” Let’s go!

Warm-O-Rama:

I figured we would FEEL A WHOLE LOT BETTER if we warmed up so we moseyed to the dam for some SSH, Weed Pickers, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, Arm Circles, & Micheal Phelps

The Thang:

“We started out on a dirty road” and LEARNED TO FLY with 4-Corners

Merkins/Squats/Mountain Climbers/LBCs

Lap 1 – 15 reps each (WE’RE SO BAD)

Lap 2 – 20 reps (WE WON’T BACK DOWN)

Lap 3 – 25 reps (LAST DANCE WITH MARY JANE – that hill is tough)

The Pax started to wonder, “Where are the Burpees? Yes, THE WAITING IS THE HARDEST PART. So we dared cars to hit us and did SSH & a Burpee on “I NEED TO KNOW”.

We realized we did not have to live like a REFUGEE so we moseyed back to the parking lot and grabbed a coupon. We went FREE FALLING into some Crazy 8s, followed by a lap. Then INTO THE GREAT WIDE OPEN with some Colt-60s, followed by a lap. Then some AMERICAN GIRL Hammers & Lunges followed by sprints to KINGS HIGHWAY.

Back to the flag for some Dying Cockroaches. I FEEL A WHOLE LOT BETTER. Do you? Feels good to stinky sweat again. Nice work! Always a pleasure to lead.

Prayers for Townie’s tooth.

Continued prayers for Milli’s good friend, Jim, as he battles lung cancer. Milli grabbed the Truth Nugget and reminded us all to love the ones we are with, make the most of everyday, and say what you need to say. Hold on, that’s a John Mayer song. Truth nonetheless.
