Take Me Out to the Ballgame…

Preamble:

With the honor of having HotWheels as my c0-Q (for his birthday Q AND VQ), we decided to commemorate his baseball season with a baseball-themed beatdown.

Warm-O-Rama:

After a quick intro and a mid-mosey disclaimer, we headed to the parking lot for a round of SSHs, weed pickers, toy soldiers and arm circled. Worth noting: several PAX thought HotWheels was more successful at keeping cadence than TO….just saying.

The Thang:

We divided into two groups. Each group would rotate PAX in their turn to bat. Depending on how far the batter hit the ball, he would get either a single, double, triple, of homer. The group would then run the bases (set ~25 yards apart), completing various exercises at each base.

1st Base: burpees and jump squats

2nd Base: Scissor kicks, LBCs, Dying Cockroaches, Freddies

3rd Base: Merkins, Carolina Dry Docks

Bear Crawl home in the event of a homer.

COT:

We lifted up Baby Emma from Crikey’s church, praying for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery; and we prayed for Nacho’s upcoming meeting with a potential birth-mom – that the birth-mom would be drawn to Nacho and his wife.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Thank you all for continuing to welcome HotWheels to our beatdowns! He thoroughly loves being able to join us, and I truly cherish the extra time I get to spend with him. You all make him feel like he belongs; thank you. He was especially excited to help Q for his birthday. I’m grateful for you men!
