Delayed Q from last week but glad to be back at Meathouse following a hiatus for race prepWarm-O-Rama:
Six Pax (haha, get it) warmed up with some Squats, Weedpickers, Toy Soldiers, Hillbillies and forward and backward arm circles. A seventh PAX who needed no warm-up then showed up (with, let's say, Puffy eyes) in time for three arm circles before we took off for the Town 'Green'The Thang:
To get the arms warm, YHC called for Colt 45s while listening to Brimful of Asha (or Brain Foldy Dasher, or Bring Fruity Lasher) otherwise known as the '... on the 45' song. 1 round completed and plenty of song left so we rinsed and repeated. Harder than I expected. The Town Green was not looking super green as it is still torn up and covered in gravel. The circle which YHC planned to, uh, circle was only 70% open so the circle was quickly modified to a horseshoe and we did out-and-backs as follows: Out: 5-Count: Squats (no coupon) Traveling: Overhead Presses Back: 5-Count: Kettlebells Traveling: Zamporini Out: 5-Count: Mercans Traveling: Lunge (with coupon) Back: 5-Count: Curls Traveling: Skull Crushers Arms pretty toasted by this point, we partnered up by the faux-wood short wall with P1 doing 15 Step-ups while P2 did AMRAP shoulder taps. Flapjack, then repeat 3x. Back to the coupons for one more round of Colt 45s and an encore of 'Bring Food Disaster on the... 45'. The PAX were delighted. Short mosey to the circle around the Christmas Tree-looking Cyprus tree. If you don't know where I'm talking about, I wouldn't have either but I thought the circle was pretty and flat and underutilized.
