8 Holes of Bliss

Preamble:

Master’s Thursday!!! Rain was all over the forecast for this morning’s festivities but whad’ya know the good Lord kept us dry in the gloom this morning.

11 pax came out to see what the fuss was all about that YHC was spouting the day before. Hopefully all enjoyed a quick “8 Holes of Bliss”.

Here’s what went down.

Warm-O-Rama:

The usual on the cheese-grader.

The Thang:

Before heading to the FOD, 3 Teams were formed and they looked like this:

• Team 1: FannyPack, Sweeper, Focker, Avis
• Team 2: Miller Time, Dosido, Shazam, No-See-Um
• Team 3: Cookie, Lil Hurt, Devito

*Placement gives you score:

• 1st=Birdie
• 2nd=Par
• 3rd=Bogey

Hole #1:

*Each team would complete each of these below over holes 1-3.

Left Field corner:

10 IC ARods

10 Apolo Ohnos

10 IC American Hammers

Center Field fence:

10 Burpees

10 Bonnie Blairs

10 Big Boys

Right Field corner:

10 Carolina Dry Docks

10 Crab Cakes

10 Copperhead Squats

• Team 1: = PAR
• Team 2: = BOGEY
• Team 3: = BIRDIE

Updated Scoring:

• Team 1: Even
• Team 2: +1
• Team 3: -1

Hole #2:

Same as #1 except add 5 burpees (LF)/10 burpees (RF) at end of activity.

Hole #3:

Same except add 5 burpees (LF)/10 burpees (RF) at end of activity.

Hole #4:

One player from each team will:

• Run lap around entire warning track
• Run two laps around entire infield outside “dirt”
• Bear Crawl around bases (1 lap)
• Team 1: = BOGEY
• Team 2: = BIRDIE
• Team 3: = PAR

• Team 1: +1
• Team 2: Even
• Team 3: -1

Hole #5:

Relay…All doing MARY when not in relay:

• Bear Crawl around concession
• Run to flag and back.
• Crab Walk around concession
• Team 1: = BOGEY
• Team 2: = PAR
• Team 3: = BIRDIE

Updated Scoring:

• Team 1: +2
• Team 2: Even
• Team 3: -2

Hole #6:

BTTW x2/Wall Sit x2

Team with one man left on both wins!

• Team 1: = PAR
• Team 2:  = BIRDIE
• Team 3:  = BOGEY

Hole #7:

Each team has 30 seconds to do as many Burpees as possible! Average of the team gave us the winners.

• Team 1: 13.75 avg. = BIRDIE
• Team 2: 13.25 avg. = PAR
• Team 3: 12.33 avg. = BOGEY

Hole #8:

Putt off in the outfield of FOD. Three pax from each team took turns attempting to make a 25’ putt. All made very solid attempts but in the end DEVITO sank his try and Avis had his go in and out (so we counted his as Par).

• Team 3: = BIRDIE

FINAL SCORING:

• Team 1 (F. Pack, Sweeper, Avis, Focker): +1
• Team 2 (MT, Dosi, Shazam, No-See-Um): Even
• Team 3 (Cookie, Devito, Lil Hurt):              -1 (CHAMPION)

HAlpha Day – Tomorrow night (4/12) @ Boneyard – 8 pm-8 am

Mini-Convergence – Next Thursday, 4/18. Rubicon and Norsemen with Cookie and Nacho Co-Q’ing. Also, Site Q transition for Rubicon (Thank you Avis for all you have done!)

Alpha Spring Convergence – Saturday, May 4 @ Nirvana (It WILL be a GREAT ONE!)

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Well, the favorites of Cookie, Devito and Lil Hurt definitely jumped out to a commanding lead (2 Under after 2 Holes->wow!). However, after back to back Bogey’s on the 6th and 7th holes…they found themselves down a stroke going into the final 8th hole to the sneaky Team 2 of MT, NSU, Shazam and Dosi.

But, Devito would sink his putt on hole 8 to seal the victory!
