Unprepared and Outmatched

Preamble:

I had a bit of plan to move around town and catch up with my fellow Academy Pax but was called in by Tank for a little friendly comp. I am in for that.

The Thang:

We headed off through town and up Canton with 5 mercans at each lamppost (not streetllights). We crossed over for some dips on a seldom used wall and LBC’s. Continue up the street with some Squats. We were laughing, having a good time, being absolutely smothered by a drive by bong hit. I wonder if that affected our upcoming performance.

We were slowly working our way across the cheese grater with some burpees, and bear crawl and even some awful crab walking when we met up with the Rubicon.

Tank’s BB will tell more. While Academy wasn’t trying to act all super tough or uppity and claim we were heavy favorites, we still came in a little too casual for a Tank Q. Watching him personally nearly lap us on the cinder carry and watching Lil Hurt toss the bean bag like a game of cornhole put them ahead.

We left with our heads and arms hanging low to regroup and rethink of other ways to exact revenge. With our arms shot we did a LBC / Squat Mile on the way back home.

Back at the track I noted I have just four days to be fully ready for SMR and can never wait too long for speedwork. So we were off for some bojangles biscuits arriving back at the flag hole just in time.
