Memorial Day Pre-Blast

AO: Rubicon

When: 2024-05-21

QIC: Irene

PAX (11): Deep dish, Dipstick, False Start, FannyPack, Focker, Lil Hurt, No-See-Um, Pinkey, Special K, uga

Preamble:

Lil Hurt issued a call for a Q, so YHC answered the call - in hopes of bringing an FNG into the gloom. SPOILER: the FNG bailed... With Memorial Day approaching, YHC went with a military theme for the BD.

Warm-O-Rama:

No new recruits to the Gloom, so a quick disclaimer was issued and off we went to the rec center. Circle-up for SSH before dropping into a plank for Shoulder Taps -> Mountain Climbers -> J.Los before OYO Arm Circles and COVIDs.

The Thang:

We crossed the wooden bridge to the tennis courts for a bombing run: 3-pax per group. 1st Pax does AMRAP T-Bombs on one sideline, 2nd Pax moseys to the center for 10 dive bomb merkins and on to the far sideline where the 3rd Pax does AMRAP Lt. Dans (Lunge-Lunge-Squat). When the moseying pax reaches a sideline, they switch, so on and so forth. We did 10 minutes worth for rotations before moseying to the rec center playground. 3 rounds of Morning Call. 3 Pax perform 5 pull-ups while everyone else performs Ranger Merkins on their count. 15 pull-ups per pax before we moved on. Mosey to the Rock Pile for a coupon and the Top Gun Routine: 10 reps of each of the following exercises: OH Press, Skullcrushers, Curls, Rows, Squats. Every Minute on the Minute - 3 Burpees. 30 Burpees and 10 minutes later, we returned the rocks and moved on. Final stop at the Concession Stand for 11s of Dips and Donkey Kicks. Back to the flag for Mary with a Deepdish led 30 ct.+ Flutterkick and we're done.

COT:

Prayers, Praises, Announcements: 1. Prayers for Pinkey's Dad as he recovers from a stroke. 2. Murph on Monday: Alpharetta City Hall, Peachtree Corners Town Center, or Bad Apple 3. Come on out to School of Rock - now with (more) extra cinders.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Thanks for having me. I believe this is my first Rubicon Q of the year as I work my way around Alpha Central and Johns Creek Q-ing at each AO. As always, it was an honor to lead.
