Bus Route and Track Check

AO: Crossroads

When: 2024-08-05

QIC: lumbergh

PAX (9): El Matador, Ha-ha, Holdout, Hollywood, Mayhem, Nacho Libre, Stu, Turbine

Preamble:

  • Apology tour stop 1 where lumbergh slighted some of his favorite AO's. As it turns out Crossroads barely cares so I guess that just shows how great they are. (Backstory is I pulled an HC to go to the EASTside pool of Windjammer and then insulted windjammer by claiming this crew is better which was kind of proven this morning....I wonder if False Start reads all these backblasts....)
  • Anyway a made up story about the Milton High Principal asking for a bus route and track check for the first day of school. My kids don't even go there so what do I care. Maybe I should have brought some eggs instead....

The Thang:

  • A pass up and back in Kensington Farms where only a dog tried to have a threatening aura but then quickly gave up. Let's hope he like kids more than he likes runners
  • A lap around the track followed by one more with El Matador doing his best impression of the 1500 m race last night.
  • Over to NW for one more lap and then around Freemanville and up Mayfield.
  • A gross morning but clear skies for some great star views.

COT:

This morning we saw Hollywood give up his stranglehold and pass the proverbial shovel flag to Mayhem. Crossroads had great success under Hollywood and his inspirational 10K year kept so many of us moving along side him. Mayhem is sure to bring routes unknown in the future. Praise as Nacho approaches one year of fatherhood and a special Q to commemorate the day.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always a pleasure to lead even if El Matador makes it impossible to be up front.
