Bring (Hurricane) Sally Up!

Preamble:

And did it rain.  And rain and rain.  Must be a Pitstop Q!

Today was at least the 3rd time I have queued in severe weather.  Rather than play in the rain or cram into the pavilion 13 pax packed their coupons and headed to the local parking deck.

Warm-O-Rama:

Circled up for SSH, Indigenous Appalachian Residents, windmills, weed pickers, and merkins.

The Thang:

Just because we weren’t in the elements didn’t mean we weren’t going to work.

From here on, a “lap” means run all the way to the top of the parking deck , across the top in the rain, and down the stairs to the starting point.

• 1st Workout
  • Partner up, everyone has a coupon.
  • Partner 1 gives his coupon to Partner 2, who now has to carry 2.
  • Partner 1 runs a lap until he catches up with Partner 2, who is carrying both coupons towards the top of the deck.
  • Swap the coupons, and Partner 2 runs a lap.
  • It’s finished when both coupons make it to the top.
  • Except that we repeated it, completing the climb twice.  PAX rotated between farmer carries and front carries.
• 2nd Workout
  • Individual workout
  • Start at the bottom of the deck with your coupon.
  • Complete 5 rounds of:
    • 10 handstand shoulder taps
    • 15 quality curls
    • 20 dips on the coupons
    • Lunge walk the coupon to the top of a ramp.
    • Leave the coupon and run a lap.

We completed approx 3 laps when time was called.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Today was my 2nd VQ anniversary.  Those 2 years  have been very difficult for me as my wife and I have separated and are about to divorce.  The men of F3 have stood beside me through thick and thin through this journey, more so than some other friend groups.  I am very appreciative for the help and loyalty, and will try to repay it to the new guys coming in.
