An AED Hunt
AO: Rubicon
When: 09/27/2022
QIC: False Start
PAX (8): False Start, FannyPack, Krueger, Lil Hurt, Morphine, Pinkey, Trebek, Wilson
Preamble:
There’s been a lot of chatter about identifying AEDs in our AOs, and after Lumbergh wanted to be a Skinny Boy Runner, I jumped in to take his concept and develop it for a beatdown. Away we go!
Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey around the corner to the Community Center parking lot for the following:
- SSH
- Toy Soldier
- Hillbilly
- Weedpicker
- Arm Circles (Forward & Reverse)
- COVIDs
Mosey to the backside of the community center.
The Thang:
This is where I shared with the PAX that we would be on an AED hunt so we knew where they were in case of emergency. I also dug deep in the exicon and found exercises that started with A, E, or D. I had to write them down to remember them, so one of the few times I had a weinke with me.
First Stop: Backside of Community Center – No AED
Partnered up for a mini dora, where we modified a few times on rep counts due to time and just ridiculous counts. I quite honestly don’t know where we ended up, but did the following exercises:
- Alligator Merkins
- E2K
- Dirty Hookups (These were fun, here’s the link)
Second Stop: Tennis Court Bathrooms – No AED
PAX started to think this was all planned, but I shared that we had no idea where the AEDs are, or if there were actually any to begin with! This was a true recon mission, and now everybody was engaged and excited to find out. We did the following 3 times:
- Partner 1: American Hammers AMRAP
- Partner 2: 10x Donkey Kicks against the wall
- Switch
Third Stop: FOD Concession Stand – AED Sign, but locked behind a metal door 🙁
OYO this time, with the following sequence completed twice:
- Aiken Legs – 10 Squats, 15 Box Jumps, 20 Lunges (single count)
- Elf on the Shelf (10 each side)
- Derkins (20)
Fourth Stop: Pool Building – AED Sign, but locked behind a door
Partner up for another switch-up 2 times:
- Partner 1: Apollo Onos (10 each side)
- Partner 2: Diamond Merkins AMRAP
- Switch
Fifth Stop: Baseball Field Concession Stand – AED Sign, but locked behind a metal door
OYO Repeating each twice:
- Australian Mountain Climbers x10 AC (Another fun one, link here)
- Dips x20
Mosey back to the flag to finish right on time.
COT:
Be on the lookout for the October Convergence at the Boneyard in late October
Naked-Man Moleskin:
The punchline on AEDs: There are some, but don’t need them in the gloom, they will be hard / impossible to get!
Not much reflection today, fun to try out new exercises and add a bit of fun to the mix. Always appreciative of this group trying new things and going with the flow.
Until next time!
