Preamble:
After finishing the 2022 IronPAX misery-fest on Monday, the Hoochies were ready for some well-deserved ‘active recovery’. Inspired by weekend tailgating, YHC thought it would be fun to bring in a different kind of ‘Board of Pain’, namely, the Cornhole Board.
Warm-O-Rama:
The PAX warmed up with:
- SSH
- LBAC
- Windmills
- Copperhead Squats
- Imperial Walkers
- 400M Run
The Thang:
YHC decided to get the blood-flowing football practice style. Found some parking lot lines and…
- Line shuffle toward the theater
- Line jumps, 25 over and back, side-to-side then front-to-back
- Line shuffle back toward the start
- Repeat Line Jumps
The PAX then circled up for some Up-Downs. Feet moving the whole time, call of “Up” means jump, call of “Down” means burpee. Completed two rounds.
Finally, counted off 2 teams and made our way to the Cornhole Board of Pain where YHC explained the rules:
Each team sends a representative to throw
Bag on board = Safe
Bag off board = Team Suicide run (1 line first time, 2 lines second time, etc)
Round winning team = Jog to Theater and back
Round losing team = Burpees till winners get back
Tie = Everyone does 20 Mercans
Bags were tossed, many missed, plenty of running and burpees but they were the most fun burpees we’ve seen in a while. 🙂
