A tale of two fields

Preamble:

As this PAX celebrates his 1 year anniversary with F3, I am reminded of what a simple connection can do to change the course of person’s life.  With the humidity at 97% and a heart pounding BD prepped, it was time to ride.

Warm-O-Rama:

Called an immediate audible when I saw the tennis balls lying around this morning.  The tennis courts were calling my name.  A quick mosey to the courts for some doubles line to doubles line suicides (forward and backwards running).  Then onto a quick side to side shuffle from doubles line to center line – 10x (there and back = 1).    We then completed the following from doubles line to doubles line: Toy Soldiers and lunges, and finished off with Weed Pickers and Mercans.

The Thang:

Beat Down

½ Mile Run to lower field goal line. Looking for a 9/930 pace, not party pace

75x Hand Release Mercans or 75 Mercans

Sprint to 50 yard line and jog/walk back.  LBCs til 6 came in.

75x Jump Squats

Sprint to 50 yard line and jog/walk back.  Hollow rock til 6 came in.

75x Plank Jacks

Sprint to 50 yard line and jog/walk back – air squat til 6 came in.

½ Mile Run to upper field goal line. Looking for a 9/930 pace, not party pace.

75x BBS

Sprint to 50 yard line and jog/walk back.  Air squat til 6 came in.

40x alpha count Bonnie Blairs.

Sprint to 50 yard line and jog/walk back.  Air squat til 6 came in.

10x Burpees

Sprint to 100 yard line and jog back to the flag.

Mary – 20x American Hammers (double alpha ct) & Hollow Rock hold to finish.

Prayers for those that are fighting battles, both spoken and unspoken, and for the courage to lean on your fellow PAX during the darker times… like this humble Q.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

It’s been a long time since I’ve read Tale of Two Cities, but the themes of sacrifice and preserving integrity come to mind.  This PAX remembers life before discovering F3 and is well aware of the impact it can have a year in.  There’s a lot of room for improvement in my world, but I know that the more I/we sacrifice — i.e. commit to sharpening the axe in the gloom — the more righteous life I will lead.  I’m grateful for you all.
