Parking Deck and Doras

Preamble:

Woke up to lightning and rain. Checked Slack to see what the vibe was for the morning. Saw that another AO called it off for safety reasons with the storm passing through, but Black Water was still on and adjusted to the parking garage to evaluate weather conditions! This allowed Deuce and Snowman to travel to the West Side for the BD.

Warm-O-Rama:

Met at the first floor of the parking garage and moseyed to the train for warm-ups. SSH, Weed Pickers, Windmills, and Michael Phelps were performed by four PAX while Deuce jogged back to the parking garage to pick-up Snowman coming in from the East Side of town.

The Thang:

Once everyone was gathered, we partnered up for a DORA of 100 Merkins, 200 BBS, and 300 Squats, while the partner ran from the stop sign at the train to the crosswalk at the top of the hill.

After DORA, we moseyed over to the coupon pile and performed Curls, Overhead Press, Bent Over Rows, and Straight Arm Extensions on our six.

Running short on time, we moseyed back to the parking garage and modified the next exercise from the original plan. We partnered back up and performed burpees while our partner ran the ramp up the next level of the deck. Once at the top, that PAX performed burpees while his partner ran to the top of the ramp to meet him. After both partners reach the top of the ramp, the first PAX ran back down the ramp, while his partner planked. Once at the bottom, that PAX planked while his partner ran down the ramp to meet him.

COT:

During COT, we recapped Darth Visor Memorial CSAUP and talked about how feedback from the PAX who attended would be good to continue to improve upon such a great event.

Prayer requests for Deuce with his business decisions coming up, for Olaf and a difficult business conversation he has to have, and for Benny while he travels to Florida during the hurricane season.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

After waking up and seeing the lightning, my first thought was to go back to bed. And once I saw that Black Water was still on, I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t clock a few more minutes of Z’s. But on the drive there, I felt excited and greatful for the opportunity to Q the beatdown to start off our week.

Also, a little friendly trash talking between GT and UGA fans first thing on a Monday morning always makes it that much more special!
