Baby Isabella Plays With Blocks

AO: The Bound

When: 09/27/2023

QIC: Ha-ha

PAX (14): Ha-ha, MillerTime, Nacho Libre, Noodle, Red Ryder, Scampi, Spit Valve, Training wheels, Tsunami, G-string (NLB), PM, Yellowstone, Lasso, Agent Smith

Preamble:

The call went out for a Q yesterday afternoon so sounded like a good time to break out the “giant tower blocks”.

First order of business was to break into 4 teams and then assign to Nacho baby Isabella which cannot be put down for the entire beatdown. She might cry!

  • Isabella (a 12 inch section of RR rail) is assigned to a team so switch off to share the load
  • She can never touch the ground
  • A way to pass of to another team is coming…

Warm-O-Rama:

An unexpected early morning rain had everything wet this morning. A mosey to the top of NLB hill for:

  • SSH
  • Weed Pickers
  • Imperial Walkers

Mosey back to the front of the café.

The Thang:

YHC set up the Giant Block Tower (GBT) under the roof line in front of the café. A board with 8 exercises listed along with a Wild Card which is to swap off Isabella with another team of your choice.

Each team has a team member pull a block and read off the number on the bottom. Match the number with the exercise board and roll the 20 sided die to get the count. Everyone performs the exercise. The the next team goes.

If someone knocks over the tower everyone on that team does burpees while everyone else runs a loop to the top of NLB hill and back.

Exercises:

Number Exercise
1 Run Loop
2 Merkins
3 Flutter Kicks (Alpha)
4 Derkins
5 Squats
6 Plank Toe Taps (Alpha)
7 Never Surrender
8 V Ups
Wild Swap Isabella with another team

We ran the loop once, never had a 7 or 8 but did a bunch of Merkins, Derkins, Flutter Kicks and Plank Toe Taps. Baby Isabella spent time with each team.

At 6:00 we went into lightning mode. The twenty sided die was swapped out with a 10 sided that went by 10s from 10 to 100.  The block “puller” had 10 seconds to complete their pull from the time they touched a block until time was up resulting in burpees. This round resulted in some high count merkins and a TON of Flutter kicks (100, 70 and 40?).

With 6:10 came the end of the game and no one knocked it down.

COT:

Prayers for the men leaving the program to return to life.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Fun morning today. I think many needed this after a month of IPC.  We got in some good work and had fun doing it.
