2nd Annual Eggnog 5k

Preamble:

There was a day when the Wreck PAX would rally for stupid things, but judging by this performance I think those days may be behind us.  Was it the intimidation fueled by the notion of 6oz eggnog shots while running?  Is YHC pushing these PAX too far out of their comfort zone?  Who knows, but Meltdown has his hands full getting these PAX back into form.

Warm-O-Rama:

Short warm-up lap around the parking lot while sweeping late arrivers, then some quick rounds of the following:

• Hillbillys
• Weedpickers
• Mountain Climbers

The Thang:

Q formulated a new route here to maximize the CSAUP factor and eliminate any fluff at the start and end.  PAX were quite boisterous and in no mood to listen to instructions, but they were given clear instructions as follows (Norm was still confused):

• Select a partner of opposite abilities (stallion chooses clydesdale and vice versa).
• Parter 1 would farmer-carry coupons clockwise around the perimeter of the baseball field while Partner 2 would run a full lap+ clockwise until he catches Partner 1.
• Farmer-carrying PAX would always stop at the playground for 5 pull-ups and at the COT to select a “gift”.
• Running PAX simply had to run to catch Farmer-carrying PAX, wherein they would switch roles.
• Last but not least, EVERY PAX had to take a shot of eggnog whenever passing through COT area.

Now, roughly HALF the PAX completely ignored the last instruction out of ignorance or softness, and I tend to think it was more of the latter.  Q did up the ante to around 6oz of eggnog, and perhaps that was a bridge too far for these PAX.  Kudos to those who kept true to the rules, as they were rewarded with final picks (and ample ability to steal) during the White Elephant gift exchange.  Speaking of which, YHC is missing a case of Modelo, but that’s a story for another day.

A few rounds of Mary led by various PAX until time was called.
