Preamble:
Short and sweet and then we hit the streets.
Warm-O-Rama:
Quick mosey to the main field and around the circle for some stretching. Q tried to call for Weedpickers but not in cadence and the former Natan Speedo made it VERY clear this was not how things are done at the Gladiator. Note taken.
The Thang:
Today’s theme was “Running”. Q called for the PAX to complete several laps each with different attributes of running (i.e. – speed work, hills, distance, etc). Though some of the exercises below may not be 100% accurate, this gives a gist of what was done. Q called for various activities for the PAX while waiting for the 6.
- Perform 10 Burpees, 15 Merkins, and 20 Jump Squats. Then take a full lap.
- Perform 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins, 30 monkey humpers, and 20 Jump Squats. Then take a full lap.
- Run 1/2 a lap at normal pace, 1/2 a lap as fast as you can. Complete 2 full laps.
- For our “hills”, perform 30 monkey humpers and 20 jump squats at each corner. Complete 2 full lap. NOTE – Q called everyone into the circle halfway for a quick “recovery Indian run”. After the Indian Run lap was completed, Q called for “Dealer’s Choice”
- Dealers Choice
- Complete another “Hill Lap” OR
- Completed another 2 “Fast laps” OR
- Complete 2 regular mosey laps
Back to the flag for 30-60 seconds of jump squats.
All in, PAX completed approximately 3 miles and much “Fun” was had by all!

Naked-Man Moleskin:
Today I quoted a verse from Ephesians 5:15-16. I pray that each of you pay attention to your days; that our lives wouldn’t be wasted chasing the never quenching “more” and choose to be fully present to receive “life and life to the fullest” as Christ declares (John 10:10). I pray the Lord give us wisdom to live not as the unwise but as the wise. References below if needed. So thankful for you all!
Ephesians 5:15-16
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding
