Preamble:

5 HC's became 13 PAX like fish and loaves- it's a Lake Windward miracle.  Fall temps, clear skies, a bit of fog coming off the cool morning dew.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the big flag for SSH, Weedpickers, arm circles, world's greatest stretch, moroccan night club, windmills.  Not in that order.  Slow mosey down the dam hill to the baseball diamond's outfield.

The Thang:

Because I just rewatched Billy Madison with my two sons (their first viewing), I brought out the routine of the same name.  Also, because the Electric Light Orchestra is doing their final "Over and Out Tour" and will be in Atlanta soon, I set up an adequate playlist of mostly upbeat hits from ELO.  Kudos to Dipstick who ID'd the ELO song from the soundtrack & the scene it accompanied. We ran around the outfield for each grade, then did the exercise for that grade as the final exam.  12 reps of each exercise and they build, so repeat all prior grade exercises at each grade: 1st Grade:  Side-Straddle Hop 2nd Grade:  LBC's 3rd Grade:  Mercans 4th Grade:  Squats 5th Grade:  Burpees 6th Grade:  Reverse LBC's 7th Grade:  Carolina Dry Dock 8th Grade:  Lunges- SC 9th Grade:  Imp. Squat Walker 10th Grade:  Flutter Kicks 11th Grade:  Crab Cakes 12th Grade:  Bonnie Blairs We stayed together for each grade, holding a high plank for the six.  As a group we made it all the way through 9th grade when we headed back to the base of the dam hill.  Bernie to the top, wait for the six, the mosey back to the flag.

COT:

Great to have Smithers back out for his 2nd BD this week.  Short Circuit was the 6 at COT; he normally hangs out between Cartersville and Rome & he shared an impactful bit of his story.  Next week: 1000 mile fund raiser ending with an Atlanta-wide convergence.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I should have been watching the Q sheet :  It was a great time to recycle this BD from a couple of years ago.  Always a pleasure to lead.
