2.0 Birthday War

Preamble:

It has been a while since I have been out to the Norseman. Was plagued with perfect storm of injuries, sickness/ kids sick, and work. I signed up long ago to do a 2.0 Birthday Q so glad I did to get me back out with the PAX. Theme was my sons 5 yr Bday so reps and counts of his bday date and his age were some of the influences also the game of War was his selection.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mozy around to the parking lots and circle up for

SSH (20)

Imperial walkers(10)

Weed picker (15)

Hillbillies (10)

Arm circles forward and backwards

Micheal Phelps/Covid (arm stretches)

The Thang:

10 approximately 100 yrd runs (thanks to Ha-Has knowledge of the parking lot depth he saved everyone from the cold wet field)

15 reps of the exercise before each run

Run 1-2, 15 merkins

Run 3-4, 15 wide arm merkins

Run 5-6, diamond merkins

Run 7-8, hand release merkins

Run 9-10, merkins

Finish with 5 burpees

Next we moved on to the “fun” part - WAR

We played War (the card game) with 4 corners of punishment

Teams would flip the card and you would do the reps of the opponent card value. Higher card won and that team typically had to do less punishment (double win).

Teams would do punishment at each of the corners rotating after every flip.

1- burpees

2- squats or lunges (alpha)

3- big boy sit ups or dying cockroaches

4- SSH (3?4? Count)

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Unfortunately I had to get out quickly for my son’s birthday so major thanks to Knight Rider for stepping in. However, I will say it is such a good thing to make sure your hitting those sign up sheets for the Q bc as the weather changes or work /life change forcing yourself back out is a great habit. Hopefully work will calm down and I’ll get back out more regularly in the coming weeks.
