Coupon Capture 1.1

AO: Boneyard

When: 2025-01-06

QIC: FannyPack

PAX (6): Busboy, FannyPack, Floater, Liquor, Speedo, Stifler

Preamble:

A few PAX were concerned about melting but we all soon discovered we're waterproof.  All the same we hunkered under the Pavillion for a good bit of the morning.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey down to the little library & do butt kicks, high knees, and cakraake left and right on the way back.  Circle up for SSH, weedpickers, arm circles, & frankensteins.

The Thang:

2nd try at the game from the Rubicon last Thursday.  Minor changes and a better explanation from YHC helped. We made two teams, and the goal of the game was to steal all of the other team's Cinder coupons.
  1. Split into teams & go to your side of the pavillion.
  2. Everyone gets a Cinder.
  3. Each team gets half of the workout deck.  I had divided the decks into halves before the workout, spreading the suits evenly between the halves.
  4. Each team deals 16 cards in 4x4 grid, face down.  The rest form a draw pile for later.
  5. The game is played in rounds of 5 minutes.  To start, everyone carries their coupon to the other side of the concession stand (~30 ft) & when your whole team is back, turn (up to) 4 cards & do those exercises together.  Then do another lap & turn 4 more.  Continue until the end of the round.
  6. At the end of the round, the team with more completed exercises (cards showing) wins, and they steal 1 coupon from the other team, which will now travel with them out and back.
  7. Before starting the next round, each team goes to the opponent's grid.  For each coupon your team still has remaining , you can 'reset' a showing card by either 1) flipping it face down, or 2) replacing it, face down, with a card from your draw pile.
  8. Start the next round, traveling around with all your coupons on each lap.

COT:
