Preamble:

I went in for the Ha-ha challenge of six days six workouts, however, outside of Monday, I posted somewhere else rather than his prescribed list. I think it still counts.... Anywho, if I am going to show up on a Saturday the only place I want to be is Nirvana. After some initial uncertainty that I had been muted or blocked on the Nirvana channel, my Q was confirmed. To stoke confidence I went ahead and shared the beatdown ahead of time. This got the response I hoped, except for the noted, now missing pull up bars.

Warm-O-Rama:

Another difference in 0530 beatdowns and 0700 is the amount of awake and chatty everyone is. I managed through a disclaimer.  Still we moseyed on to the Milton flag pole and did the usual while two other pax caught up to us. Maps were spread around for reference as needed and we were off.

The Thang:

  • As a mini tribute to Ha-ha week and his rival Barkely 5K happening at the same time I designed a loop around Milton high broke up into stations. We opted to stick together for the first lap and then everyone can see how far they get from there.
  • A round of the Bettis along four buses, For each number in the bus number we do Burpees, LBCs, Mercans, and Jump Squats. Bear Crawl to each bus
  • Mosey down to the ghost of the pull up bars for Urcans, Dips, and Step ups.
  • Mosey to the hill for a round of 5's with Hand Release Mercans at the bottom, bear crawl and Hand Release Mercans at the top with crawl bear back.
  • Mosey up to the practice green for 100 yard sprints.
  • For some reason we left the soft turf for a round of Diamonds, Big Bois and Squats
  • Mosey to the rock pile for a round of Colt 45's
    • A promise of no rock switching but some showmanship still occurred on the big rock
  • Back to the front of school with Mike Tysons, Hammers, and a Lunge Walk
  • And that brings us back to the start for Lap 2. Pax could go at their own pace but still we mostly stuck together. This included cutting the hill short on round 2 fearing we would need time to get back to the flag. However I was quickly schooled in timing as we found time for Colt 45's again and Mike Tysons to get back to the flag with plenty of time. Maybe the next time I will make some adjustments for more loops. Or maybe we will never see this again....
  • Was this a ghost of WESTCOT that got missed in 2024? Perhaps, but knowing the memory remains only makes it strong
  • Will lumbergh return without having to Q? Perhaps sooner than later...

COT:

Prayers for Spiders recovery and for Dosi's recovery. Great to see this crew out today.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always a pleasure to step up last minute, lead, and disappear again
