Preamble:
Had to prepare to keep us moving - 17 degree temp at 05:30. Felt like it was colder than that...Coupons required for this beatdown. Kettlebell preferably.Warm-O-Rama:
At the flag, a round of weedpickers and toy soldiers. Then a mosey to the basketball court behind the school. Warm up continued with:- SSH
- Arm Circles
- Michael Phelps
The Thang:
After warmup, mosey to bottom of the famous "Zima's Hill." It was time to introduce one of our newest FNG's to the hill and how it got it's name. Now, for those that don't know how, during one beatdown where Zima had the Q he decided to call Burpee Broad jumps starting from the bottom all the way up to the top...and THAT my friends is how it got it's name. This time, we went a little less than halfway up the hill. Then mosey to top of the hill. Next up is several rounds of timed exercises. Each round contained a song & 3 exercises with a rep count of 20. Once pax finish each exercise, run half-way down the hill and back. Rinse and repeat until the "Round 1" song is over and "Round 2" song begins. Rinse and repeat same instructions as Round 1. Exercises & songs were:- Round 1: November Rain: Swings, Skull Crushers, Thrusters
- Round 2: Whiskey in the Jar: Am Hammer, V-Chop, V-Up
- Round 3: Civil War: Overhead Press, Chest Press, Curls
- Round 4: Wherever I may Roam* Burpees, Merkins, Stone Mountain's
