Dawn Patrol Field Trip
AO: Dawn Patrol
When: 2025-03-01
QIC: Stroller
PAX (4): Floater, Liquor, Stroller, Zohan
Preamble:
Perfect morning for a beatdown. Recruited hard at the Gladiator on Thursday but no takers today. 4 strong at 0545. Time to get moving. We have some ground to cover.Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey toward the park exit. Stop a couple times for 10 mercans, 10 squats along the way. Over to the cul-de-sac for some SSH, weed pickers, imperial walkersThe Thang:
The cul-de-sac is our first station- Vicious circle, courtesy of FannyPack. We will lunge walk in single file around the circle, while the PAX in the back peels off and runs to the center to complete 10 jump squats and then run to the front. Each PAX took two turns
- Partner up. Catch me if you can. One partner will complete 5 mercans and then run forward. The other partner will Bernie until the other partner catches him, then complete 2 bro-pees and switch roles. The Q took out Liquor in the middle of this, watch out for speed bumps! We did this until Q had enough
- Gave Floater and Liquor a taste of pre-covid life with some wheelbarrows. Q instructed the PAX to wheelbarrow half of the circle, which the other PAX took to mean directly across the middle. This is even harder than I remember, turned out to be a smart modification. Two turns for each PAX
- Merc+Burp: we will complete 10 burpees, with mercans increasing on each rep. 1 on the first, 2 on the second, 3 on the 3rd, etc, giving thanks we are not increasing exponentially
- 4 corners: Core edition. 10 BBSU, 20 Am Hammers (single), 30 Mountain Climbers, 40 LBCs. As a tribute to Zohan's BD on Thursday, trace the parking spots on the long edges, run the short edges. Two rounds
- Because we all miss Dark Side, we are going to complete the DARK SIDE routine. See here for details (this is my second time writing this BB, don't @ me). 30-15 of DARK, 30 of SIDE then we're almost out of time
COT:
- Floater's son headed to Ole Miss in the fall!
- Liquor accepted to the Harvard of the South for his PhD program!
- Continued prayers for Liquor's best friend with cancer treatments
